Challenge cup 'Ginger Trophy'
Maaike de Vries, MV Miniature Horses:
During a visit to the World Show in Texas (USA) I was inspired by all the challenge cups that were offered to the participants during the show. I would be delighted if something like that could be set up in Europe. My heart is with the performance and obviously it would be great for the participants in the Youth classes to win a large cup!
Hence my offer to make a challenge cup available to ICAMH. I will also ensure that each winner will be listed on the cup through an extra plate, along with the date and the name of the horse that has won this trophy.
Results ( 2011)
In the first year of the Ginger Trophy a total of 17
different Youth combinations participated in the Youth performance
classes.
From the first show Rick de Warle took the lead with the most points, and he was able to keep this position
until the end of the show season .
With a point difference of 18 points with the number 2, he received the
first Ginger Trophy with his horse Bellmills Superstar Las Vegas.
It was a successful first year for the Ginger Trophy. We hope the Youth participants will be just as excited to participate next
year!

Naming
After much consideration about a name for this challenge cup, I decided to dedicate this cup to my first own miniature horse. Ginger and I have shared a lot of joys and sorrows in the past years. She has taught me much and together we stand at the start of my own training stable.
As the owner of this mare, I am very proud of the results that we have achieved in the show ring in recent years and I hope that everyone enjoys being in the ring as much as we!
Good luck everyone!
